Alana for President 2040!

I received a lovely package the other day (thank you a million times!! I miss you a million times over ELSW), and a cute sweatshirt "future president" in pink for Alana was included...that got me thinking...
How is Alana most like a president?

For reference I have two photographs:

How could I forget this photo of President Bush reading with school children! Thank you Vince for that long ago email...

And Alana reading Mouse Paint! She was content for fifteen minutes with this book, flipping the pages back and forth...and doing her favorite new task, rubbing her thumb back and forth to make a cool sound! eeee---eeeee---eeee

Alana realizes her mistake and uprights the book!

Wicked Winds...and other words...3/21

Yes, that is what they call them in New Hampshire! The wind is supposed to get up to 55 mph today...and I can hear it now on the corner of the house. I just hope and pray that Chris doesn't have trouble with the 16' truck he's driving from MD to NH today! With the rest of our home inside...closing is screwed up...but we're going to do it the FedEx way...and thankfully won't have to deal with the craazzy realtor of the buyer...

Tips when purchasing a home (or what we learned selling our home):
1. Find a good realtor (through your bank/mortgage company if possible).
2. Stay on top of your mortgage company, yes they are working for you, but it's not too hard to make a few phone calls.
3. When going through the final walk-thru...flush all the toilets, run the shower and yes...test all the outlets (our buyer did...and found one not working...oh wait a second, it's connected to a light switch...hmmm...perhaps if you flip the switch the light may work...they even left a sticky note by the outlet...there are two other outlet's like this in the house...I wonder if they found these...)
4. Find a good realtor (we can't stress that enough).

Thank you for letting me vent computer...

A romp with Willa....

Willa: Let's play!
Mena:whoa....hold on a sec...you obviously have an advantage here..

Mena: Ok....let's play!

Willa: Get it on!
Mena: Um....not sure...

Willa: Come on, I'm getting sleepy here...

Willa: (Yawn)...yeah...it's over...too slow...(all bark and no play)
Yes, that's Alana in the background, no worries, no babies/stuffed lambs or grandma's were injured in the photography!

Oh, yeah...some more...

Ah to giggle!

Snuggling on the couch...

It snowed last Saturday morning, and was so beautiful!

Alana in her new highchair! :-)

more photos...

People we saw before the BIG MOVE!

Liza and Eddie stopped by the night before the move...

Mena protecting us all from Eddie...oh my! Mena just wouldn't give it up...crazy girl.

Joan/Liza and Eddie's feet in the kitchen...I miss that tile work...so lovely!

Got to hang out with Ellen at Panera...and have some yummy food too!

Snow/Freezing Rain...yuck...

Today was not so nice weather-wise...it started off with snow (very pretty) and then some freezing rain...and supposedly will turn/stay rain later tonight...so that got me thinking back to earlier days last week...this is what the dogs like to do when the sun is shining...we have a small deck that is up in air attached to the dining area (no way down)! But the dogs get a great view of the neighborhood and like to bark at anything that moves, as well as bake in the sun!

Good morning sunshine!

Alana checking on Willa in the backyard one morning...our mornings are pretty scheduled, Alana's up between 545 and 615 most mornings, then it's a bottle, some cheerios while we eat breakfast and then playtime, perhaps a book to read, and then comes the morning nap usually around 9am until 1030 or 11...that's when I get the chance to check email, start laundry, perhaps get to watch some sportscenter!

Alana having fun!

Alana has a new teething toy! John Deere corn!

Yeah! Fun with the cap from my bottle!

Just too cute for words!

Standing up! Something Alana's very proud of!

Look at Alana's two bottom teeth!

Willa ran by...hahaha...too cute!

The POD arrives!

The POD arrived early in the morning on March 1st! And in a snowstorm no less. We received about 6 inches during our first night in New Hampshire!

Beep! Beep!

The guy uses a remote control to take the POD off the truck!

Pretty cool huh?

And the truck is off and away!

And then we had the great unloading, from left to right:
Brian, Mr. Lord, Chris and Andy! It was all unloaded in two hours!
