Finally the pilated woodpecker returned to our trees...making lovely noise the other morning! I ran out to get the camera!

Alana waited patiently on the deck while I took photos! It was a cool 51 degrees that morning! Well, probably in the 60s by the time we were taking photos!

Our first sunflower! It bloomed on Suji's bday! and Happy Waffle day in case you didn't know! Happy Birthday Suji! and Happy bday Parthiv...and Seamus...I think that's all the bdays this week!

The garden, viewed from the deck. We've been eating zuccini and tomotoes! There's finally a cucumber that is growing normally, think the others are messed up b/c there isn't enough sun...they look like little blob cucumbers!! It's fun watching them grow.

Friendly Farm, 8-21

Trip to Friendly Farm with KG, AG, & CG! It was a lot of fun seeing the animals!

So I went to the landfill to recycle today...I go about every two weeks...and this toy was there, in great condition! and it makes some great noises as well. The woman dropping it off said her two and half year old grand-daughter had outgrown it. Now it's Alana's to treasure! We listened to the neighs and trots the whole way to the post office and then home, Alana was very curious as to the noise behind her! Hope the video works!!

Bathroom update/ end of week one

First Tomato!!! Delish!

The first tomato! It was "picked for me" by the heavy rain we had...but it was oh so delicious! Had it on my grilled cheese sandwhich! YUMMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bathroom work...

We're having a shower installed and moving the washer and dryer into the downstairs bathroom. The excitement began Monday morning with jackhammers, and a new backflow protection added and a place for the new location of the toilet. Here are a few photos.

We had an adventure today with AG/CG & KG!

We visited the Kaleidoscope Children's Museum in Concord...a perfect retreat on the rainy, cold day! It was upper sixties and rainy all day!
