Fun with a hat!

What Alana gets up to these days...

This is what Alana got into yesterday!

Just before she fell, yes I had the camera in my hand! What a bad mommy!

Perhaps we should invest in one of these?

Baby robins!

Our robin's eggs hatched on Saturday, I could hear the faint chirping!
Here they are! Not much to look at eh? This photo is from day five.

Alana's fun days in the pool!

We broke down and bought a pool! It's been really nice on the hot days, we can hang out in the cool water and keep it in the shade, as the sun passes the house by 1pm or so.

I took these photographs a while ago...thought they were cute. Alana hadn't played with this toy in probably a month...it was "like" new.

Garden update: Squash and Zuccini!!!

Yes! There are two little squash and one little zuccini and some pretty flowers on the cucumbers, they seem to be taking a little bit longer. Amazing what can happen in the three days since I looked at it last...and a visit to CT as well! Can't wait to harvest!

Cucumber flower, really pretty star shape.

Willa enjoying the sunshine after about a week of rainy days!

Garden Update 7/23/08

It's been a while since I've posted about my garden! It's doing well, I worry that all the rain we've had and are supposed to get will do something, but so far, so good.

I just added these "stakes" to the tomatoes, there are about 30 unripened greenies growing! Can't wait to taste one! I've thought about pickling a green one, but haven't met anyone who's had one before...I love pickles, would pickled tomatoes be any good?

Here you can see the cucumbers far right, the yellow squash in the middle and zuccini on far left

Yellow squash flower, is the thing below what will become the squash? Hmmm...we'll wait and see!

Zuccini plant!

I'm having a lot of fun with the garden, Alana now comes out on the grass with me when I weed...she likes to pick at the weeds in the yard...you know the ones I'm talking about! Yes, she's in love with dandelions! She likes to blow on the seeds, too cute for words!

Family reunion!

Yipeee! A fun weekend in VT and family reunion! It was a weekend of good food and fun. Here's the proof!

Had a good dinner here...if anyone is in Burlington try and go to the Daily Planet
I had baked mussels...YUM! a good memory revisited of our honeymoon in Ireland...we (I) had mussels from the Bantry Bay! Anyway it was a great evening out!! So if you're in the area, I would recommend you give it a try (Thanks SPL)

July 15, 2008

Today was a great day! Gorgeous weather, we went to the library, played in Joyce's baby pool and had some fun in our backyard as well. Mr. & Mrs. Robin have returned, we're hoping for another round of baby robins!

Home from the beach! July 11-13 Hampton Bays

We had a wonderful long weekend in Hampton Bays! Took the Ferry across the sound, so much to be on the ferry again. It has been ten long years since I have taken a trip to Long Island...back then I had just finished freshmen year of college....aye...makes me feel OLD! hehehe

On the ferry, just leaving New London...General Dynamics right behind us. We saw a submarine escorted by the CGuard too, but we didn't have the camera out!

Chris is out there somewhere!

The return trip on the ferry, another gorgeous day!

A long car ride home = restful nap!
